Bitty Bird, the Bitcoin Mining Canary, is based on the canaries used in coal mining to detect the dangerous gas, carbon monoxide, and keep miners safe. Used until the mid-1980s, canaries were a large part of mining history. (Please note: We do not condone animal cruelty!)
